This 2010 JDM Alphard belongs to my parents. I literally mean JDM because the dealer imported it from Japan. The infotainment has no other language outside of Japanese. JDM Toyotas have model-specific logos on the front grille. Export models sold in Hong Kong have the normal Toyota logo.

I don’t like this thing as much as their spaceship 2006 Previa, but the Alphard is undeniably more luxurious.

The new generation Alphard and Vellfire came out this year, and my parents have zero interest. This picture sufficiently explains why:

Makes me want to hurl.

That’s OOGLY. But I’ll still probably see umpteenbillion of them on the roads soon enough. The Alphard is very popular.

So...did you overnight it from Japan? ;)

It’s pretty cool how they give unique badges for each model. Although im sure that would get confusing when police are trying to identify a car as well. I’ve always wondered about the unique badges when I watch Hong Kong TV shows.

Only the grey-market JDM cars have them. Most models officially sold by Toyota’s Hong Kong distributor Crown Motors are export models and bear the Toyota badge up front.

They are already rolling around the streets in most East Asian countries.
